Our Agenda
1:00 pm – The role of nurses in leading innovation
Join an inspiring talk by Shawna Butler and kick off the HealthTech Innovation Day with one of the most enthusiastic voices in Healthtech. Nurses are the 1st line of contact for patients. Shawna will explain why they are the best position to be innovators and will talk about the latest innovations developed for and by nurses.
Combining clinical acumen and technology to deliver better health, experiences, and outcomes, Shawna brings sharp wit, (un)common sense, and empathy-driven design to projects worth doing. Her talent is scanning the horizon for game-changing patterns and identifying + connecting the clever optimists provoking them. As the network builder of the global EntrepreNURSE movement, Shawna works with the pioneers in the thick of integrating robotics, 3D printing, drones, AI, blended reality, voice recognition, digital humans, big data and sensors into our health solutions and lifestyles.
1:15 pm – The power of voice-based AI in healthcare
Voice search and assistants are advancing at an exponential rate, with technologies like Amazon Alexa or Google Home spreading in people’s homes and hospitals. It is bringing a lot of promises to a better care and to a different patient journey: Assisting patients, especially the seniors, at home, following up on patients between visits, improving the communication and face time between patients and healthcare professionals, detecting a disease just listening to the patient’s voice.
In this Expert Chat, we will discuss the current status of voice and AI in healthcare as well as opportunities and challenges, together with entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals and VCs.
2:00 pm – Science Fiction meets Health
In healthcare hardware innovation is closing the gap between science fiction and reality. Meet innovators that developed smart devices and are working with gadgets and hardware to generate data and provide access to valuable insights for better patient care by enhancing the body’s capabilities.
2:45 pm – The human Digitome: The 1st digital representation of human health
Meet Dr. Michelle Longmire – a physician and entrepreneur driven to improve human health through advances in technology. Michelle founded Medable in 2014 to enable healthcare technology to be as seamless, integrated, and adaptive as the human body. Medable is transforming healthcare by enabling patient generated data to drive healthcare delivery, clinical research, and personalized and predictive medicine.
At the HealthTech Innovation Day, Michelle is talking about the “Human Digitome”. Get in glimpse on Michelles Talk here!
3:15 pm – Blockchain for Impact in Healthcare
Healthcare is a sector where impact and social projects are become increasingly important to ensure inclusion, transparency and diversity.
